Meet Dr. David “Dave” Blackley

Dr. Blackley's special area of study is Cosmetic Dentistry with a focus on Implants

Dave grew up in Minnesota but has called Colorado Springs home since he began practicing dentistry here in 1984.

He conducted his undergraduate studIes at Andrews University in Michigan and received his Doctor of Dental Studies (DDS) from the prestigious Loma Linda University in Southern California where he was 3rd in his class. He has continued to study throughout his career and is currently a mentor for Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona.

During 2001, Dave relocated his office to Brook Park Drive. With a larger office and experienced staff, he is able to accommodate more patients while still spending time with each patient in the relaxed atmosphere. Dave has been married 32 years and is the proud father of three adult children - two girls and one boy. He enjoys being outdoors in nature and photographing it. You will see some of his photos displayed thoughout the office and in the media presentations. Dave is also an avid hiker and in August of 2004 achieved his personal goal of reaching the top of each of the 54 Colorado fourteeners!

Dental Health Coordinator

Gayla has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and has taught piano & instrumental lessons and elementary school band for 17 years. She has experience in many secretarial fields and attends classes to keep updated in the various needs of dental management.
She enjoys keeping up with the lives and travels of her three children. Her other interests include reading, cooking, sewing, quilting, and the outdoors.

Expaned Duties Dental Assistant

Kim has been with Dr. Blackley for the last 19 years. She is a certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. She graduated from Buckeye Joint Vocational School in 1982 with a certificate in Diversified Health Occupations. She completed her Dental Assisting Internship with Dr. Stephen Gombos D.D.S. in Dover, Ohio.
Kim has 29 years experience in Dental Assisting working within General Dentistry, Periodontal, Pediatric and Orthodontic practices. She was also employed with Ultradent Products, Inc., a dental products company, where she received additional education regarding tooth whitening techniques.
Kim and her husband Greg have one daughter, Allyssa, and a cat named Soda. She enjoys mountain biking, hiking, ATVing, playing the drums, '70s music and trivia games.

Dental Hygienist

Dori is a Registered Dental Hygienist licensed in the State of Colorado, and has been a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association since 1999. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a degree in Dental Hygiene from Denver Community College in Denver, Colorado.
Dori is certified in the administration of local anesthesia, dental radiography, restorative dentistry, advanced periodontal therapy and nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation.
